The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed incumbent Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett in Tuesday's election. The NRA-PVF takes a swipe in its letter at former Mayor Kathy Taylor who joined the anti-gun organization funded and founded by "extremist" New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The Tuesday election is the city's first non-partisan race, though Bartlett is a well-known Republican while Taylor has been heavily involved in Democrat politics nationally. The NRA praised Bartlett whose administration proposed changing city ordinance to allow Tulsans to carry handguns in municipal parks in the Tulsa community in accordance with state law.
