JC is right to be critical. The “efforts” have been patronizing at the least!
At the OKGOP convention, minority populations were repeatedly called “those people” by the activists put on the stage to “teach” about minority outreach.
I think there is a desire to say the party has “minority outreach” while keeping it small to keep it all.
The Republican Party should not try to reach groups – we should reach individuals! We are the party of individualism.

I don’t want a party built on skin color being more important than the principles of the voters. It is insulting to be divided into genders, ethnicity, or hair color! Let’s reach out SINCERELY to citizens who are Americans at heart and want the best for this country (not their pocketbook).
I’m with Richard, it was disgraceful to hear speaker after speaker at the State Republican Convention telling the delegates how to reach out to the Hispanics while telling any delegate (blacks, Hispanics, and whites) that supported a staunch conservative Presidential candidate to leave the party! I’ll take the voters with principles!
The party can’t alienate its base and expect to win! And we’ll never win as long as the elected officials continue to govern in a “democrat light” mode!
