Obamacare Repeal Effort Targets Oklahomans

The National Republican party isn’t saying much about it. Neither is Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.  But the GOP’s raising money to try again to repeal Obamacare and it’s making the pitch for money to Oklahomans.
Robocalls from a Washington D.C. area code 202-number are being made to those in the state, asking to finance a $100,000 faxblast in support of Senator McConnell and a repeal effort. It’s a matter of punching one or two on your phone to make a contribution.
The only mention of Obamacare on the National Republican Committee website is a brief statement, “We oppose government-run health care, which won’t protect the physician-patient relationship, won’t promote competition, and won’t promote health care quality and choice.”
Senator McConnell’s U.S. Senate website makes no mention of the repeal effort in 2013. There is nothing in 22 press releases in February and another 22 in January from his office that involves any mention of the repeal effort.
More than 33 repeal votes have been taken in the U.S. House and they’ve failed to eliminate the controversial health care law. But on the first day of the 113th Congress, Rep. Michele Bachmann announced she had filed the first bill of the new legislative session—an attempt to repeal Obamacare.
