The Gadfly: A Chill In The Air

gadfly2Mike McCarville

There is a troubling chill in the national air.

It emanates from the West Wing of the Obama White House and, finally, the lamestream media seems to be focusing on it. The perpetual Obama apologists now face mounting evidence that this is an administration that is out of control, targeting its political opponents and lying to cover up its errors.

Benghazi is the worst scandal, since it involves death. It also involves inexplicable dereliction of duty on the part of the State Department officials and perhaps even Hillary Clinton herself.

The IRS targeting conservative groups is a major abuse of government power; it is reminiscent of what dictatorships do to citizens. It reminds one of the worst abuses of the old USSR.

The same can be said of the Department of Justice gathering the phone records of reporters.

When it was Bush-Cheney, the media portrayed every mistake, every error, every controversy, as having come directly from those two.

While the media is now paying attention to Obama’s multiple scandals, we have yet to see the media tag Obama and Biden with the same zeal they tagged the Republican administration.

More important to the national psyche is the specter that our government has been directed to turn on its citizens, not once but multiple times and that its bottom-line agenda is not truth, but manipulation and political cover for an administration that clearly puts self-preservation above the good of the nation.

It was only a matter of time before the government which would restrict one constitutional ammemdment would start to restrict the media’s precious First Ammendment! Couldn’t you see this coming?????

I too have an uncomfortable feeling about this administration Mike. One of my major concerns is the vast number of main stream media’s siblings and spouses who are working in the Obama Administration. I’m willing to bet even money that most of not all of these “media relatives” do not have the security clearances required for information to which they have access. We need a thorough investigation into, First, who has access and to what classified information they are privy to, Second, who authorized that access.
    I won’t hold my breath.
