Tulsa’s Fox 23 News reports that Democrat Kathy Taylor has so far spent $1.6 million of her own personal money in her bid to unseat incumbent Republican Mayor Dewey Bartlett.
With more than six weeks left before the November 12 election, some speculate she could set an all-time record for personal spending in an Oklahoma election by topping the $2 million mark.
Bartlett has loaned his campaign $180,000 of his own money.
