Kathi Yeager Stepping Out Of KTOK Morning Show

New KTOK morning show host Kathi Yeager has revealed on Facebook that she is leaving the post.

Yeager said the ongoing illness of her middle child, a son, prompted the decision.

Knowing now from our doctors what’s
ahead and where my focus truly needs to be, I have decided to relinquish my position in the morning at KTOK. It is one of the toughest decisions I have made. I believe there are many exciting opportunities on the horizon in that position and I have already learned so much in the job I never knew I’d have!”

Wow, that didn’t last long. Since I’ve quit listening to KTOK (but would love to have a reason to listen), maybe they’ll bring Reid Mullins back for the drive home time!

    BRING BACK REID MULLINS PERIOD!!!!

  3. Steven Ferguson, 27 September, 2013

Why would they bring a host back that couldn’t bring ratings? Ratings brings advertisers, advertisers brings revenue. (CPM is very important in radio) The best move they could make would be to bring Mike McCarville back on air in the mornings to bring some actual deep thought and critical thinking to the mornings (something that’s been missing for a decade).

I am sorry to read of son’s health issue, Kathi and would like to add him to my prayer list. KTOK – please consider bringing Reid Mullins back – he has a devoted fan base.

Please bring Reid back! I have not listened to KTOK since he left!!

  6. Carol Hefner, 27 September, 2013

So sorry that Kathi will not be returning. Reid is indeed a heralded voice of reason and should be offered airtime. If he turns it down, consider ME!

  7. Jenny, 30 September, 2013

BRING REID BACK!!! Let him take calls and talk conspiratard talk, all will be well!

Bring Reid back instead of replacing him with another “no-ratings” co-host trying to fill the shoes of an experienced host. Yes it costs money to have a good host and that’s what it takes to get good ratings. I haven’t listened since I fell asleep listening to Kathi Yeager right after they cut Reid. At the rate Clear Channel is going, they’re going to automate themselves right out of the market! Wouldn’t be much of a loss- just hate to see them tear down an institution like KTOK!

Please bring Reid back. Kathy’s high pitched whiny voice that early in the morning irritated me to no end – had to turn the radio off when she came on! I was furious with KTOK for dropping Reid who I really enjoyed listening to – just bring Reid back and no more women that early in the morning – sorry but that Kathy woman was a huge mistake.

Thank God she’s gone. Bless her heart – sympathy for her child and all that but putting emotional things aside, she was simply not a good fit for this slot. She has personality so should she return to work, she would be better suited as DJ record spinner who does fluffy chit-chat. Or since she is pretty, maybe a hostess (not news anchor) on a local morning t.v. show.
Liking Brian Lloyd more and more, but Reid was the best. I miss him every morning. Please bring him back.

I see that “focus truly needs to be” on her son didn’t last long. I notice she’s on The Twister from 10:00 – 3:00 pm.
