Mullin: ‘Time to put country first’

Congressman Markwayne Mullin made the following statement after the House of Representatives passed H.J. Res. 59, the continuing resolution to fund the federal government.

“Today the House voted once again to sufficiently fund the government and avoid a shutdown. The goal throughout this entire negotiating process has been to move our country forward.
“The majority of Americans now realize that Obamacare is not ready and will cripple our economy.  Today we voted on provisions that will fund the government at current levels and delay Obamacare for one year, safeguarding families from higher healthcare costs and allowing businesses to continue to grow.
“This is not the time to play politics. The livelihood of so many families and businesses are at stake. I ran for Congress because I got fed up with the political bickering by both parties. All three branches of government must listen to the American people. It’s time to put country first.”

It’s too bad Senator Coburn won’t listen to his constituents. Coburn is dead set on forcing Obamacare through with absolutely no way to stop it.

All the politicians want to stop it just not right now.
