Retired Marine Chris Kannady has announced he’ll seek the Republican nomination for the House District 91 seat in south Oklahoma City next year. The seat is open due to the retirement of term-limited Mike Reynolds.
After graduating from the University of Oklahoma not long after 9/11, Kannady joined the Marine Corps. After deployments to Iraq and then Afghanistan, where he suffered a career-ending knee injury, he and his family moved back to Oklahoma.
Kannady holds three degrees from the University of Oklahoma, where he served as student body president, and a masters from George Washington University.
He said he intends to continue the fight for limited government and an economy focused on promoting business.
