FPIO’s Tardibono Praises Court Action

tardibonoWith the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in favor of religious liberty and the Green family in the Hobby Lobby case, Timothy Tardibono, President of the Family Policy Institute of Oklahoma, released this statement:

“As Oklahomans, we know that the Greens run their family business in ways that benefit our communities with great wages, good benefits and numerous programs to improve the lives of its employees.  This is the kind of business that should be encouraged to grow, not stifled by government coercion.

We are encouraged that the U.S. Supreme Court affirmed the 1st Amendment in finding that American families like the Greens don’t give up their freedom when they open a business.  The exercise of religious liberty is not confined only to Sunday morning but extends to the deeply held religious convictions lived out by family business owners.

We hope this case will further clarify the vital role religious liberty plays in a free and diverse society and reinforce the protection of conscience enshrined in the 1st Amendment.”
