The newly elected officers of the Oklahoma Libertarian Party (OKLP) have officially taken office.
According to the by-laws of the OKLP, although elected at their state convention which was held in March, they do not take their offices until the national convention convenes.
The following individuals are the new officers of the Libertarian Party of Oklahoma: Steve Long, Chair; Marven Goodman, Vice Chair; Zachary Knight, Secretary; John Gleason, Treasurer.
A news release says “in the past, the Oklahoma Libertarian Party has focused its efforts solely on getting ballot access. While ballot access is still important to the party in providing the voters of Oklahoma another choice in the election process, I feel that it is equally important for the organization to increase its presence among Oklahomans in regards to political activity and getting the message of liberty to the people of Oklahoma.”
