We’re making progress. We may be able to pass the ESA legislation next session. And right now lower income kids can get financial help for private schools via the 3 Scholarship Granting Organizations that exist for this purpose: GO for Catholic Schools [Tulsa Diocese], the Catholic Schools Opportunity Scholarship fund [OKC Diocese] and the newest one, Opportunity Scholarship Fund, which is available to serve non-Catholic schools. Donors to any of these 3 SGOs can get a 50% tax credit against Oklahoma state income tax so that these SGOs can help the low income kids. It’s a good deal all the way around.
