    It’s not surprising we rank so high if they are reaching back to the days of the county commissioner convictions. Oklahoma’s county government still needs an overhaul.

    2 comments/questions:
    1. The statistics include the County Commissioner massacre in the 80’s – that large number of one-time convictions (although warranted) skew the data and probably should be treated as an aberration.
    2. Maybe these statistics actually suggest an atmosphere in which Oklahoma does not condone said corruption, and is more aggressive in pursuing and punishing the criminals.
