Political Irony: Figure This One Out

Here’s political irony: the same people who were supporting Schools Superintendent Janet Barresi and Common Core are now attacking Senator Josh Brecheen, claiming he supported her.

Brecheen opposed Barresi’s support of Common Core.

In politics, lobbyists may stand for children, but not always for the elected officials who stood with them. A new commercial by the non-profit organization Stand For Children attacks Brecheen by linking him to Barresi.

The group is reportedly targeting Brecheen for defeat because he authored the repeal of Common Core. Barresi was an ardent supporter of the controversial legislation.

Josh Brecheen took a stand AGAINST Common Core even when it was not a popular thing to do. That shows you he will stand for what is right, and stand against what is wrong, no matter if its thee popular thing to do or not. I received the mailer from State Chamber backing Joe Hill stating he wants to place the classroom control with the teachers and parents.. this is the same group who are staunch backers of Common Core, and who will contine to try to ram it down our throats. Their mailer is total hypocrisy – they do not want local teachers and parents in control of the classroom. Josh is for the people, and the people are for Josh – Special Interests, take your money and go somewhere else.

Sorry Seymour, but just like every other issue, Josh has flipped flopped a couple of times on Common Core. Josh is like a windsock that shifts in the direction of the wind that blows from Glenn Beck. Poor Josh is not for families, he is not for education, and he would not recognize Oklahoma conservative values if he ran over them with his tractor. It is time for Josh to go
