Officials Back School Choice

schoolchoiceAppearing at a press conference promoting School Choice week were Attorney General E. Scott Pruitt, Labor Commissioner Mark Costello, Senator Clark Jolley, Rep. Jason Nelson, Rep. John Paul Jordan, Rep. Lewis Moore, Rep. Tom Newell, and Rep. David Brumbaugh.

Brandon Dutcher of the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs says on Facebook that, “They understand that parents, not government officials, have the moral right to determine a child’s path.”

Kevin Hime, superintendent at Clinton Public Schools, retorts on Twitter:  “Is it school choice when the school gets to choose?”

    Paradoxically, school choice is the only education reform that will benefit the public schools long-term. And by definition, it benefits low-income parents.
