Steve Fair Endorses Weston In GOP Chairman’s Race

Steve Fair

Republican National Committeeman Steve Fair has endorsed incumbent GOP State Chairman Dave Weston for reelection.

Weston faces challengers Pam Pollard and Randy Brogdon in a contest for the seat.

In his endorsement Fair wrote, The job of Oklahoma State Republican Chair is very important to the overall success of the Party.  It is critical that whoever fills that office have four very important characteristics:

They must be principled.

They must be organized.

They must be committed.

They must be fair.

Dave Weston is a man of principle.  He has deep personal convictions.  He is a dedicated husband and father and has served as a deacon in his church.  Dave has a biblical worldview and that worldview guides his life.  He is a man of prayer and understands the only hope of America is for God to have mercy on our country.  His principles are consistent and don’t change with the political climate.

Dave is organized and systematic.  Since he was elected in 2013, he has traveled from Boise City to Idabel, Altus to Miami and numerous locations in between, speaking to GOP organizations.  During the 2014 election cycle, Dave organized candidate schools within congressional districts throughout the state.  In November, the vast majority of attendees to those schools were elected.

Dave is committed to building the OKGOP from the grassroots.  That philosophy guides everything he does.  He has made the State Party to be a resource for county organizations and candidates.  Under his leadership, the state party has provided polling data, voter lists and much more to both candidates and county organizations.

Dave is fair and treats everyone with respect.  He understands the role of the Chairman is not to ‘weed’ out or clear a primary, but to allow the primary process work by allowing voters to decide the Party’s nominee.

What the Oklahoma Republican Party has accomplished during Dave’s tenure as Chairman has been nothing short of historic.  For the first time in Oklahoma state history, Republicans have surpassed Democrats in party affiliation!  In 2014, Republicans won 70% of all races – at all levels!  That was accomplished because David empowered the grassroots of the Party.

I proudly and unreservedly support David Weston for re-election.  He has earned a second term.  Please join me and vote for Dave at the State Convention on April 11th.

Sincerely,

Steve Fair

National Committeeman
Oklahoma Republican Party

Dave is a Mike Huckabee supporter. See what Robert Novak had to say about the Huckster in 2007: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/11/25/AR2007112501547.html

Dave is not very organized if his State Committee Meetings are any indication.

Dave is committed to fighting the grassroots at every opportunity, which he has repeatedly demonstrated.

He is VERY good at taking credit for the GOP wave, but he should have thanked Obama – that’s the real reason we got so many votes.

Not a chance in hell I would vote for this guy.

There are a number of people who can attest to the falseness of claiming he stays out of primaries, too. Go check around on Facebook for that, Mike.

Weston has done nothing to build the grassroots. Rather, he has conspired against them in numerous ways, including in Comanche and Carter counties. His primary principle seems to be — party above principle at every turn.

Mr. Fair, it troubles me to see someone supporting a man who has done nothing but cause harm to the GOP. Weston has performed his job in the most terrible fashion at “Raising Funds” and “Delivering a Conservative Message”.
With this endorsement maybe you too should HIT to Road!

What Mr. Weston has failed to do is follow OUR party platform.”WE believe in limited government”. He has never come out against the excess growth of government since the Republicans have taken over. They have increased spending over a BILLION DOLLARS since taken charge. That is not less government! He should of drove policy from day one but hasn’t. I see no leadership from Mr. Weston, just more of the same.

RINO Dave Weston has a particular hatred for the precinct Chairman who supports Constitutional values. Special interests have a good friend in Dave Weston as a loyal puppet. Anyone who supports his tyrannical top-down sort of dictatorial “leadership” also needs to be removed. RINO Dave Weston treats the grassroots committeemen like children in the classroom of the meanest teacher you ever had. RINO Dave Weston makes the rules as he goes along, ignoring and demonizing conservative Republican committeemen who only want to follow the rules as written. At the last State Committee meeting, Weston made his own rules, assuming his sit down, shut up and listen to me would stick, without any vote. Happy, that didn’t happen and the good people of the committee spanked him good. I was surprised and pleased that Pam Pollard stood up to Weston’s tyranny, at the last two state committee meetings. Pam scored some points with grassroots conservatives. Come on over Pam, the water’s fine. The Constitution really isn’t as bad as our oligarchy and globalist media tells us it is.

Grassroots have but one choice and that is former Senator Randy Brogdon. The only problem is, the grassroots doesn’t have unlimited special interest money, as Weston has. Weston is bought and paid for, by people who have only one goal…to make themselves richer, using tools such as this man.

I’m a grassroots Constitutionalist, therefore Randy Brogdon is my kind of Chairman, but knowing politicians are mostly bought and paid for and elections are mostly rigged, I expect Weston will “win”.

As a grassroots Republican committeeman, I know all too well the media, the big corporations and the RNC will stop at nothing to crush the grassroots conservative Constitutional Republicans at every turn, but if I had to vote for an establishment candidate for Chair, it would be Pam Pollard. While we disagree on what is the proper role of government, I think Pam would me more fair and open to true conservatism.

Oh, and Dave? Lighten up on the “look how good a Christian I am” routine. It rings hollow and is wearing thin.

I’m baffled at Steve Fair’s piece on Dave Weston! Dave has failed to raise money or accurately account for funds. Dave is all talk, but not much action.

State Committee meetings are very tense and he always starts off by putting people down! And he’s not just trying to rule with an iron fist BUT is also very paranoid. How do you lead when you’re unwilling to work with the very people elected to serve with you!

Not sure who Steve Fair is talking about in his endorsement. Dave uses a very heavy hand in meetings, is less than forthright with his answers, and this last election cycle gave $0 to any candidate! Yes, that is ZERO dollars to any candidate!

So I don’t think he’s earned anyone’s support who actually wants the Republicans to grow as a conservative party and welcomes participation in the party.
