Aw, does this mean no more nice vacations for certain legislators?
Hopefully, he won’t change his mind.

No the committee did not vote on this bill, Rep. Lee Denney, R-Cushing, asked that HB 1813 be laid over. Denney’s action means the bill cannot be heard until next session. Meaning like a dead zombie this pernicious idea of somehow increasing voter participation and increasing Oklahoma’s stature in Presidential elections will be back next year. Mrs. Lee Denney is a very misguided soul on this issue. Or maybe she just needs another junket before her last hurrah. She is term limited in 2016. As a lifelong Republican I never thought I would see one of our own in the legislature, let alone in leadership support this unwise and constitutional devastating idea. Unfortunately stay tuned folks same time next year.

What is really disturbing about the NPV group is how overtly they throw free vacations and plush jobs at current and ex-pols for something that has no apparent financial incentive.
Follow the money – what is the real reason for this push to change our Constitution?
