    And so it begins… we were told it would ONLY take $120 million to fix it. Now that is the starting point. Good grief it will probably double in cost by the time they are close to finishing.

    I want to say “I told you so”… but I’ll try to refrain!

    Actually, they always said $120 million was the starting point and that it could likely be more. They even referenced the KS Capitol in the debate. Specifically that KS originally approved about $100 million and the final cost was $300 million. So, from the beginning, it was acknowledged it could go much higher.

    On a similar note, it makes much more sense to spend the money on the Capitol then to create any new museums. I’m specifically referring to the Native American Cultural Center and the POPS Museum.
