Pinnell To Keynote GOP Event

pinnellMatt Pinnell, former Oklahoma Republican Party chairman, now State Party Director for the Republican National Committee (RNC), will keynote the annual Lincoln & Reagan Dinner, May 7th.  The dinner will take place at Noah’s Event Center in Oklahoma City.

Pinnell, was Oklahoma Party Chairman from June, 2010, until April, 2013.  At the time of his election to the post, he was the youngest state chairman in the country.

In 2010, Pinnell oversaw the most successful election cycle for Oklahoma Republicans in state history, helping sweep all eight statewide races and expanding majorities in both the state house and senate. During the 2008 election cycle, Pinnell served as the “Oklahoma Victory” director for the McCain-Palin ticket, helping sweep all 77 counties for John McCain and garnering 65.4 percent of the vote, the highest percentage in the nation.

In 2012, under Pinnell’s leadership, the Oklahoma Republican Party continued to see great success, once again claiming all 77 counties for Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney, and sweeping all five congressional seats.

On April 10th, 2013, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus named Pinnell RNC State Party Director.  In a news release, Priebus stated, “Matt knows the workings of the state party system and has the vision to help strengthen state parties as we build for 2014 and 2016.”

“The future of all 50 state parties and territorial parties will be Matt’s top priority, “ Priebus concluded.

In 2010, during his tenure as State Party Chairman, Pinnell also served as chairman of  the RNC’s State Chairmen’s Committee, directing the sharing of ideas and best practices among the nation’s state Republican leaders.

Pinnell has served as campaign aide to several successful Oklahoma officials.  He resides in Tulsa with his wife, Lisa, and their three children.
