Today, GOPAC announced Oklahoma state Senators David Holt and Stephanie Bice will join state Senators Bryce Reeves (VA) and Mark Green (TN) for GOPAC’s Emerging Leaders Panel during the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC) in Oklahoma City on May 22nd.

GOPAC’s Emerging Leaders panel will promote talented state leaders and provide them a platform to advance the ideas they are championing.

“Senators Holt, Bice, Reeves and Green are advancing the cause for limited, effective government,” said GOPAC Chairman David Avella. “The policies they are championing will become ideal examples for other states to follow.”

“Senator Holt has worked tirelessly for more transparency in government. He has also introduced an income tax cut every single session since being elected in 2010. Equally, ever since Senator Stephanie Bice took the oath of office last November, she has worked to put policies in place to promote job creation and has already had an impact on strengthening standards in Oklahoma’s schools,” said Avella.

“During his distinguished tenure in the Virginia Senate, Senator Reeves has worked to ensure public safety and energy independence. This is why as a freshman Senator he was awarded a leadership position as Republican Whip and appointed Co-Chairman of the Military Caucus,” said Avella.

“Senator Mark Green’s experience managing an emergency department staffing company has given him valuable insights on how state governments can improve health care. He is getting a lot of attention for his idea to establish health care credits via a debit card to place the decision-making back in the hands of the consumer,” said Avella.

Other confirmed speakers for the SRLC include: Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Florida U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, South Carolina U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton and former Texas Governor Rick Perry. During their careers, each has assisted GOPAC in its’ mission to educate and elect a new generation of Republican leaders.

The SRLC is well known as one of the premier conferences for all Republicans and conservative activists. This year the event is hosting the largest regional presidential straw poll of the year.  For more information on SRLC, visit: www.srlc.gop.
