Fallin Education Appointments Listed

Governor’s Office

Governor Fallin today announced the following appointments to education-related boards. All of the following appointees received Senate confirmation during the 2015 Legislative Session:

Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education

Ann Holloway, of Ardmore, is being reappointed and will serve a nine-year term. She is a managing member of EAH, an investment firm. She previously served a nine-year term on the board of regents for the Regional University System of Oklahoma. Holloway received a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

 

University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Board of Regents

G.T. Bynum, of Tulsa, replaces John Nelson and will serve a seven-year term. He is a managing partner at Capitol Ventures, a government relations firm. He also serves as a member of the Tulsa City Council. Bynum currently serves on the board of directors for Leadership Oklahoma and for the Tulsa Historical Society. He received a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in Villanova, Pa.

Oklahoma State University – Tulsa Board of Trustees

Paresh “Pete” Patel, of Tulsa, is replacing Glenda Love, who resigned, and will serve the remainder of her term ending in June 2019. He is president and chief executive officer of Promise Hotels. He currently serves as a board member of the Oklahoma Hotel and Lodging Association, the Tulsa Hotel and Lodging Association and the Tulsa Metro Chamber. Patel received a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University.

University Center of Southern Oklahoma Board of Trustees

Cynthia “Cyd” Jordan, of Ardmore, will replace Billy Scott Landgraf and will serve the remainder of his term expiring in 2023. She is owner and sales representative for Jordan Insurance Group.

University Center of Southern Oklahoma Board of Trustees 

Keith King, of Ardmore, is replacing Jessica Pfau, who resigned, and will serve the remainder of her term ending in June 2016. He is the executive vice president and chief financial officer of First National Bank and Trust. He previously served as mayor of Ardmore. King received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree from the Southwest Graduate School of Banking in Dallas.

University Center of Southern Oklahoma Board of Trustees

Kevin Stinson, of Ardmore, is replacing Sam Barrick, who resigned, and will serve the remainder of his term which ends in June 2019. He is the division director of health, aging and community services for Big Five Community Services. He is a current board member of YW8 of Carter County, a member of the United Commercial Travelers of America and Canada, and serves on the board of advocates at the University of Oklahoma Stephenson Cancer Center.   Stinson received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Sarah Veazey, of Ardmore, is replacing Mark Cunningham and will serve a nine-year term. She is an optometrist. She is currently a member of the More Foundation, a member of the Ardmore Young Professionals, a board member for the Court Appointed Special Advocates and a member of the Ardmore Rotary Club. Veazey received a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla.

University Center at Ponca City Board of Trustees

Tim Seidel, of Ponca City, is replacing Pete Stynes, who resigned, and will serve the remainder of his term ending in June 2019.Seidel is the refinery manager at Phillips 66. He currently serves on the board of directors at RCB Bank, the board of the Oklahoma Oil and Gas Association, the board of Jupiter Sulfur and the board of Standing Bear Native American Foundation. Seidel also serves as vice president for the Conoco and Phillips 66 Heritage Museums.

University Center at Ponca City Board of Trustees

Louis Abercrombie, of Ponca City, is being reappointed to the board and will serve a nine-year term. She is the business editor for the Ponca City News. She is a member of the Oklahoma Press Association and charter president of Professionals Today, a women’s civic club.
