The “weeds” term is an exaggeration beyond reason or sanity. A young Broken Arrow 20-something on Facebook wrote that some who are personally destructive to the Republican Party and Conservative causes should be “weeded out” of the party. It was an inappropriate comment. Anyone can register in any party and no one can be removed – Republican, Democratic, etc. This young woman is not a part of party leadership – holds no elected or appointed position in the party – and Facebook, for her and many, is conversational.

For 9/12 to now assert there is a concerted effort to exclude “Tea Party Republicans” is a fabrication and evil. Why do some while talking about grassroots continue to alienate by demonizing others? It is called the “Straw Man” argument and it is a fault of logic to fabricate some demon “the people” must rally to defeat. This is a common tacit of a demagogue, “a political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.”

I would say that the use of that name and its implications say a lot about the group.
