Conservative Tulsa activist Amanda Teegarden has announced she’ll seek the Republican nomination in Senate District 39, the post now held by term-limited Senator Brian Crain.
Teegarden is the former executive director of OK-SAFE, a non-profit organization.
She will face at least one other Republican; already announced is petroleum investor Alan Staab.
Teegarden is a lifelong Republican and has been active within the Tulsa County Republican Party for many years. She and husband Mark have two children and one grandchild.
SD39 encompasses a large portion of Midtown Tulsa, from 11th and Yale to the Creek Turnpike.
