Warmington Lauds Corporation Commission Action

warmington1The Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s Oil and Gas Conservation Division (OGCD) has put in place a plan to reduce oil and gas wastewater disposal well volume in a prescribed area of northern Oklahoma County and southern Logan County and today, an industry official lauded the action.

Oklahoma Oil & Gas Association President Chad Warmington said, “The actions taken by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission are a reasonable and prudent next step. The data for this area of interest suggested that a volume reduction was necessary.

“We appreciate the Commission taking a targeted approach. We are hopeful that we will continue to see positive results from these measured and data-driven initiatives.

“The Commission has been very clear that it will not hesitate to take action. We will continue to work diligently to provide them the necessary information and feedback to protect our workers, Oklahoma citizens and the development of our abundant natural resources.”
