State Superintendent Honors Oklahoma Educator Hall of Fame Inductees

EducatorHOFPicState Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister said Friday she is honored to recognize four Oklahomans who will be inducted into the Oklahoma Educators Hall of Fame (OEHF).

New inductees include: Janet L. Cunningham, Alva; William R. White, Edmond; Kara Gae Wilson-Neal, Tulsa; and John M. Woods, Weatherford. These distinguished educators will join the 91 who have been inducted since 1984.

“Congratulations to this highly distinguished group of inductees,” said  Hofmeister. “Their achievements and the impact they have made in education are undeniable. With a combined 160 years of educational experience, these four have been an inspiration to us all.”

Portraits of all Educator Hall of Fame inductees are on permanent display at the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE). The induction ceremony will took place Friday night at Quail Creek Golf and Country Club in Oklahoma City.
