Simmering tension between the coordinator of the Ron Paul Oklahoma campaign and Oklahoma Republicans has broken into raging flames in the past two days and today, Al Gerhart threw more fuel on the fire, alleging that the actions of GOP Chairman Matt Pinnell “proves that the State GOP has it in for the Ron Paul effort.”
Gerhart cites no evidence to support his claim, made in his Sooner Tea Party newsletter.
In past days, Gerhart has attacked the party’s vice chair, the Cleveland County vice chair and officials of the Oklahoma County GOP for various reasons.
There has been tension between Gerhart and party officials for some time; their expressions of concern over his conduct have, until recently, been kept under wraps. Now, many of them say, his behavior has become so threatening and bizarre they are compelled to speak out. Some of them have done in comments to previous stories on The McCarville Report.
For starters,it’s not Matt Pinnell that’s the problem.Matt is pretty open about having people involved in the party as long as they are registered Republicans.Matt Pinnell is a fair man.It’s his leutenants who are the problem. Matt Jackson is the problem at county.He’s in over his head.
When a pack of wolves hunts, they have a common purpose / vision and they work together to achieve the result. When the pack lacks such a purpose, they fight among themselves. Any similarities???
