AFP Supports End To Production Tax Credits

Senator James Lankford introduced the PTC Elimination Act, which would effectively end the wind production tax credits for projects that started last year. In fact, it would remove the credit from the tax code completely and would therefore keep the credit from being included in future incentive packages.

Americans for Prosperity released a letter in support of the PTC Elimination Act in the House (HR 1901) earlier this year.

“It is great to see an elected official standing with their constituents,” said AFP Oklahoma State Director John Tidwell. “Unfortunately, Americans have not seen the return on investment from these wind projects. This handout continues to waste millions of dollars, while also threatening access to affordable and reliable energy. Our organization has been on the forefront of the fight against more government and we are honored to stand with the senator in a fight against the Obama Administration’s excessive handouts.”

Americans for Prosperity Oklahoma is the state’s foremost group of grassroots activists advocating for economic freedom and smaller government.
