Social Media: Civil Asset Forfeiture Reform Needs Public Support

sappNorma Sapp on Facebook:

Since this is Liberty Oklahoma…time to work on something close to home. Senator Loveless’ bill to reform civil asset forfeiture has been introduce and the word is that Sykes is going to refuse to give it a hearing. I’ve talked with Loveless and the first course of action will be to make calls, emails, faxes and visits to senate leadership, including Sykes to put pressure on him to change his mind. This needs to start immediately. I’ve done the hard part…here’s the names and contact info you need. If you want to go as a group to visit some of the folks, I will be happy to join you as I will be going anyway. The bill you need to reference is SB 838. Here are the leadership folks that need to hear from people-
