Alan Staab Seeks SD39 Nomination

AlanStaabAlan Staab says he’ll seek the Republican nomination in Senate District 39.

He has been a Tulsa businessman for over 30 years, in oil and gas, real estate development and banking sectors plus involvement in numerous start-up companies including an accounting software development firm. He also plays an active role in his family farm.

His campaign will center around improvement to these key issues facing Oklahoma.
– Education: Develop a comprehensive educational strategy including higher funding levels, teacher retentions and recruitment programs
– Budget: Establish new sources of revenue without new taxes, consolidate duplicate services and shrinking government
– Criminal Justice: Develop better ways of funding and do more to stop youthful offenders from taking the next step
– Jobs and Business Development: Reduce job killing regulations while still protecting the public and the environment

He serves on the board of several community nonprofit organizations and is actively involved with Catholic Charities, St. Gregory’s University and the Newman Center at the University of Tulsa.

He and his wife, Sharon, have been married for over 35 years and have three adult sons.

    How does one,” establish new sources of revenue without new taxes?” Higher fees and mandates is not a proper answer. Stop duplicate service and shrinking government sounds good but how? Your real job if elected is to protect my rights and property. So don[‘t pass most any laws that don’t have a victim involved. Some laws clean up bad wording of a previous bill and may be necessary for clarification. Hope you aren’t a statist, one that votes to protect the state and its continuous invasion of people’s privacy.
