Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister is in Washington, D.C. this morning to testify before the House Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education. She’s talk about Oklahoma’s experience with state and local control over public education.
The hearing is entitled, “Next steps for K-12 education: Implementing the promise to restore state and local control.” Hofmeister’s focus will be on the Every Student Succeeds Act. It is set for 9am Central time.
