Prison Overcrowding Plan Approved

The State Board of Corrections approved Thursday a plan to rent an empty private prison in Sayre to alleviate overcrowding. The Oklahoman’s Graham Lee Brewer reports the plan created by Department of Corrections interim director Joe Allbaugh will shut inmate work centers down in other towns.
