Primary Election Profile: Oklahoma Congressional District 2

The incumbent in this race has drawn an opponent from his own party, while two Democrats and an Independent are also running. The race for the Republican nomination has been contentious.

The Democrats – Paul E. Schiefelbein and Joshua Harris-Till

Schiefelbein is an interesting candidate. There is more available about him concerning his run in’s with law enforcement than his political stances. In fact, a warrant has been issued for his arrest after he allegedly failed to show up for court in June. He’s facing DUI of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance from an arrest in Janaury 2016 in Cherokee County.

No website is available for Schiefelbein’s campaign.

Harris-Till is a former staffer for Congressman Dan Boren. He’s a power plant technician and earned a political science degree from Northeastern State University. The hero in Harris-Till’s life is his mother who was single. She spent her life helping her family while raising a son on her own.
