Oklahoma Women’s Coalition welcomes four members to its Board of Directors this month. Among the new board members are Cori Loomis (Oklahoma City), Leah Roper (Oklahoma City), Lydia Gonzalez-D’Ross (Tulsa) and Darci Williams (Shawnee).
Loomis joins the Coalition’s Board of Directors after being an active supporter for many years. Loomis’ professional career focuses on the representation of health care providers with transaction compliance, reimbursement, legislative and regulatory compliance issues. Loomis is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and the University Of Texas School Of Law. She has been included in the Oklahoma Super Lawyers magazine for healthcare since 2012. She is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers for administrative regulatory law and healthcare. She has been ranked by Chambers U.S.A. in corporate/commercial: healthcare since 2010 and received a Leadership in Law award from The Journal Record in 2010. Loomis was accepted to the Oklahoma Bar Association Leadership Academy in 2011 and in 2014 was recognized as one of the “Fifty Making a Difference” in Oklahoma by The Journal Record. Active in the community, Loomis participates in numerous civic and charitable activities, including the Downtown Rotary Club and Leadership Oklahoma City. She also serves on the board of Prevent Blindness of Oklahoma and The Children’s Center and Rehabilitation Hospital in Bethany.
Attorney and active community volunteer Roper spent the past year serving in a leadership position with the Coalition’s Young Professionals Roundtable. She is active in the Plaza District Association’s Live! On the Plaza Committee, Arts Council of Oklahoma City’s Arts Festival and Opening Night, DeadCenter Film Festival and Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma. Roper is a LOYAL Class XI graduate and a N.E.W. Leadership Graduate 2010. She’s a member of Bohanon Inn of Court and National Employment Lawyers Association and serves as Secretary for Oklahoma Employment Lawyers Association.
Gonzalez-D’Ross, an author, speaker, and Business & campaign consultant, resides in Tulsa but serves on numerous national boards and is also a national keynote speaker. In 2016, Gonzalez-D’Ross was an honoree of the Madam President Award by League of Women Voters of Tulsa County. She has received an Oklahoma Governor Commendation, City of Tulsa Appreciation Volunteer Award, Congressional Community Services Recognition Award, among many others. D’Ross has worked as National Public Faith Engagement Director for Republican National Hispanic Assembly, journalist and reporter at El Nacional Mundo Fox, and National Hispanic Director of United States National Prayer Council. Gonzalez-D’Ross is a Leadership Tulsa graduate, Class XXXVIII and a Commissioner for Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women.
Darci Williams serves as Human Resources Manager at First National Bank and resides in the Shawnee area. She is President Elect for Central Oklahoma Human Resources Association, Vice Chair of Central Oklahoma Workforce Impact Board, and sits on the board of United Way. Williams looks forward to helping women and girls with leadership development and hopes to use her voice to support Economic Security for women and girls in Oklahoma.
