Fallin Decides Against Special Session to Redistribute $140.8 Million

Governor Fallin has backed off her proposal to call a special session to take $140.8 million left over from last fiscal year’s revenue failure cuts to give teacher raises. The Oklahoman‘s Rick Green writes lawmakers were resisting the call to reassemble during an election year. The money will now be returned to the state agencies in proportion to the cuts they made.
