OCPA Explains How a New State Employee Insurance Program Could Save Millions

The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs takes the spotlight for its role in creating a state employee insurance plan that has the potential to save the state and its employees millions of dollars. OCPA lobbied the Legislature to create HealthChoice Select which in some instances cover complete costs of surgeries. KFOR-TV spent more than six minutes of airtime to explain how the insurance offering works.

Rep. Glen Mulready and Senator Greg Treat wrote the legislation. According to OCPA, the program is now in place for 180,000 Oklahomans.
