Senator James Lankford wants to see change in the way Congress handles the federal budget. In light of the passage of a stop-gap budget agreement which keeps the government running past the start of the new fiscal year on October 1, Oklahoma’s junior senator took to the Senate floor to outline his long term focus on reforming the budget process to be more transparent and begin ways to pay down federal debt.
