Farm Bureau Family of the Year Endorses Wine and Strong Beer State Question

Former Oklahoma Farm Bureau Family of the Year Dennis and Elaine Flaming are putting their name behind the Yes of 792 campaign. The couple began growing grapes on their farm in 2000. They believe selling wine and strong beer in grocery and convenience stores would boost Oklahoma’s agriculture economy.

“By voting Yes on 792, citizens can encourage grape growing and the diversification of agricultural products in Oklahoma,” said Dennis Flaming. “At one time, more than 5,000 acres were in grape production, and we can get there again. But first, we have to improve access to customers. State Question 792 is a great step to helping an industry ready to grow jobs in Oklahoma.”

The Flamings have joined other agriculture producers in promoting the Yes on 792 campaign in a new radio commercial.
