Senator Kyle Loveless is proposing a bill to allow parents to choose where their child goes to school. In a letter to The Oklahoman, Loveless describes the system which allows 75 percent of the funding to follow the child to help offset the costs of a private school or other expenses.

Go, Senator Loveless! This bill sounds like a great solution. It will enable parents to choose the school that’s right for their kids, it will leave some money in the public schools [even though those schools no longer have to serve them], and it will promote competition which will stimulate creative improvement of the public schools.
