President-elect Trump’s pick for Secretary of Education influenced Oklahoma’s election this year through a pro-school choice super PAC. Oklahoma Watch’s Jennifer Palmer via the Tulsa World writes Betsy DeVos’ American Federation for Children is the parent organization to the Oklahoma Federation for Children Action Fund. The Oklahoma organization received more than $180,000 to help defend candidates against the so-called “teacher caucus.”

Betsy DeVos is a wonderful pick to head the Department of Education. With any luck, she will shrink it to the size of a raisin, thereby saving lots of money and slashing through reams of federal red tape.
