The Speaker of the House gets to choose a representative to the Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) and new Speaker Charles McCall has chosen Atoka businessman Ronny Eaves to take the post. Eaves is the owner of Atoka Trailer and Manufacturing, LLC.
“Ronny is a man of integrity, and he possesses the right temperament to help determine the qualifications of candidates for our court system,” said McCall. “I am grateful that he is willing to serve in this important role.”
The JNC has 15 members, including six attorneys and nine non-attorneys. It has the purpose of screening candidates for the governor to fill court vacancies, including the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the Court of Criminal Appeals.
Eaves will serve a two year term on the commission.
