Coffee Talk: Dead Robber’s Mother Collects Cash

^A dead robber’s mother has reached a confidential monetary settlement in her  lawsuit against the south  Oklahoma City pharmacy where her son was fatally shot. The lawsuit was settled for at least $100,000, sources told The  Oklahoman. Cleta  A. Jennings is getting 65 percent of the money left over after her attorneys  are paid. The Oklahoma  Department of Human Services will get the rest. “I’m just glad it’s over,” Jennings said Wednesday after a probate hearing  over the settlement. Jennings last year filed the wrongful-death lawsuit against pharmacist Jerome  Ersland and his employer, Reliable Discount Pharmacy, in Oklahoma  County District Court.

^ Former NAACP leader C.L. Bryant and Dr. Alveda King are accusing Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton of “exploiting” the Trayvon Martin tragedy to “racially divide this country.”  “His family should be outraged at the fact that they’re using this child as the bait to inflame racial passions,” Rev. C.L. Bryant said in a Monday interview with The Daily Caller. The conservative black pastor who was once the chapter president of the Garland, Texas NAACP called Jackson and Sharpton “race hustlers” and said they are “acting as though they are buzzards circling the carcass of this young boy.”
