State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister has a date in August for a preliminary hearing on charges that she broke campaign fundraising laws. The Oklahoman’s Nolan Clay writes Hofmeister and the others accused of wrongdoing will go before Oklahoma County Special Judge Kevin McCray on August 16 – 18 for the hearing. The judge will decide if prosecutors have enough evidence to go forward with a trial.
