Anonymous Direct Mail Attacks In HD71 Race Criticized

Controversy in the House District 71 special election today.

An anonymous source has attacked Republican Katie Henke through direct mail, prompting Republican Party Chairman Matt Pinnell to criticize anonymous attacks today.

“Who is ‘Protecting Oklahoma Values’ and why won’t they step forward and publicly put their name to their attacks?” asked Pinnell.

“A search of Oklahoma Ethics Commission filings finds no group registered as ‘Protecting Oklahoma Values.’ Anonymous, unsourced attacks certainly are not what I would consider Oklahoma values.”

“Dan Arthrell and the Democrats will stop at nothing to try and win this seat. These shady tactics have no place in Oklahoma. It’s time for Dan Arthrell to stop hiding behind these anonymous untruthful smears,” concluded Pinnell.
