New Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Audit Reveals Missing Guns, Equipment

An audit that was first reported by The McCarville Report is out today with details of more mismanagement in the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office.

The report indicates millions of dollars in missing items, including guns, Tasers, and vehicles.

“Of the 7,844 items listed on inventory, 3,041 items could not be located or reviewed in any manner,” the audit stated. “The items that we were unable to locate or verify had a total cost of $3,362,003.45.”

    With the Sheriff’s retirement this is going nowhere. They will talk and shake fingers but nothing will be done with this. In Oklahoma once you retire they lose interest in criminal activity.
