New DUI Law Challenged

The state’s new DUI law is being challenged by a group of attorneys who filed a lawsuit with the Oklahoma Supreme Court on Wednesday. The Oklahoman’s Randy Ellis writes the attorneys believe the law violates the state constitution by covering more than one subject and does away with the administrative appeals process. Senate Bill 643 was written by former prosecutor Rep. Scott Biggs who believes the suit has no merit.

    Sued first for cigs, and now for booze. It appears that the state pols will need to increase the AG budget due to these specious bills passed by the legislature and signed by Mary – again.
