In a late night session, the effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, failed in the Senate. The vote on the “skinny” version of repeal was 49-51.
During the debate, Senator James Lankford gave a speech encouraging his fellow Senators to vote for the measure to move the process forward.
While the future is uncertain now for repeal, some are speculating the process could begin again at the committee level.
