Oral Arguments on Last Minute Budget Building Fees Set for Live Streaming Tuesday Morning

The Oklahoma Supreme Court will live stream the oral arguments for three cases involving last minute fees passed by the Legislature to build the current state budget. At issue are the re-establishment of a 1.25% sales tax on automobile sales, a $1.50 per pack “cessation fee” on cigarettes and “uncoupling” the Oklahoma annual deduction from the federal deduction level.

The first of three hearings is set for 9:00 a.m. Each hearing is scheduled for one hour.
