Agencies Told to Cut Budgets without Legislative Solution

The Department of Human Services, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and the Oklahoma Health Care Authority have been instructed to submit revised budgets reflecting a $214 million dollar cut due to the inability of the Legislature to agree on a budget solution. The Oklahoman’s Dale Denwalt writes Finance Secretary Preston Doerflinger made the request because it’ll be at least another two weeks before a solution can be implemented, if an agreement is reached.
