Cornett Crosses $900,000 Mark in Campaign Funds

Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett is realizing some fund raising success as he faces other candidates with deep campaign chests in the governor’s race. The Oklahomans for Mick Cornett 2018 campaign said it has raised more than $900,000 from more than 900 contributors. The third quarter fund raising totaled $620,000.

“Everywhere we go on this campaign, I am met by people who are supportive in so many ways,” Oklahoma City Mayor and Republican candidate for Governor Mick Cornett said. “I am humbled by the incredible amount of support I’ve received throughout Oklahoma. Our fundraising quarter ensures we are highly competitive in driving our positive message about Oklahoma’s future. Our support grows every day and we are in a strong position to win.”

While Cornett is making headway, the competition is steep in the fund raising arena.

Recently, Lt. Governor Todd Lamb’s campaign announced it had raised $2.7 million total and $625,000 in the third quarter.

Tulsa businessman Kevin Stitt has impressed political observers with his ability to raise money. His third quarter fund raising total was announced at $811,147. Stitt also threw in $800,000 to his campaign, giving the political newcomer a campaign war chest of $1.6 million.

Tulsa lawyer Gary Richardson has put in $1 million of his own money into his campaign. He has raised more than $46,000 in total donations according to his latest Ethics Commission filing.
