Mental Health Department Gets Funding, Others Measures Waiting for Senate Action

A long awaited breakthrough Wednesday for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) as the Senate approves a House bill to send more than $23 million from the Rainy Day Fund to the agency. The Oklahoman’s Dale Denwalt writes the Senate has yet to take up other House bills to back fill the $215 million budget gap created by an unconstitutional cigarette fee passed during the regular session.
