Senate Kills Sales Tax Exemption for Trucking Industry

The Senate killed a bill Thursday which would have given an exemption to trucking companies on the newly reestablished vehicle sales tax in Oklahoma. The Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock writes those voting against the measure felt it was unfair to give the exemption to industry while individual citizens had to pay the tax.
